AI Fanfic Generator

This AI fanfic generator turns a few sentences about your characters into a finished, PG-13 story, and this page explains what the AI pays attention to so the result sounds like your characters and not like a stranger wearing their names. It is the same fanfic generator as the home page, set up here with notes on voice and context.

PG-13 is the default. T (Teen, 13+) allows mild language, non-graphic fights and heavier angst. Neither has sexual or NSFW content, and romance stays at hand-holding and hugs.

Leave everything empty and the button reads Surprise me: it fills the form with a random original idea for you to check, then you press Generate.

Rated PG-13 by default, or T (Teen) if you pick it; never NSFW. By generating you agree to the content policy and the acceptable use rules; blocked requests are not counted or charged. 3 free fics a day, no sign-up, reset at midnight UTC+8.

Your fic will appear on this page.

Name your faves, pick a vibe and a trope, then hit Generate (or leave it all blank and hit Surprise me). It takes about half a minute, and you can read while it writes.

How the AI fanfic generator reads your setup

A language model writes one word at a time, choosing what is most likely to come next given everything it has been told. That means the setup you type is the only map it has. When you press Generate, the generator combines your setup with the options you picked (universe, trope, point of view, tone, length and ending) and with a fixed set of writing rules: stay PG-13, write new prose rather than copying anything published, keep names consistent, and finish the story at the length you chose.

Three parts of the setup carry the most weight. The characters line tells the model who is speaking and how. The situation tells it where the scene starts and what goes wrong. The options tell it the shape of the story: a cozy drabble and a dramatic chapter with a cliffhanger are built differently even from the same idea.

Keeping characters in voice

Readers notice a character out of voice faster than almost anything else. The AI cannot recall a character's personality the way a fan can, so give it something concrete to copy:

  • One speech habit per character. "Answers questions with questions." "Swears by old proverbs and gets them wrong." Habits are easier for a model to repeat than adjectives like "witty".
  • A sample line. Writing one line of dialogue in the setup ("Desh: 'Technically, that's not a fire yet.'") shows rhythm and humour better than a description does.
  • Relationships, not just traits. "Mira trusts Desh with recipes but not with directions" gives the model friction to write.
  • What a character would never do. A short "never" list stops the model from smoothing everyone into the same polite person.

If a draft still sounds off, change one line of the setup and generate again instead of rewriting everything. That makes it easy to see which detail helped.

Where AI fan fiction can still slip

Being clear about limits saves time. These are the mistakes an AI fanfic generator can still make, and what to do about each:

  • Canon details. The model may not know a story world well, or may mix it up with another one. Put the facts you need into the setup rather than trusting the AI to remember them.
  • Drift in longer stories. Over a few thousand words, small details such as eye colour, the time of day or who is holding the map can change. Read once for continuity before you share.
  • Repeated phrasing. Models have favourite words. If a phrase shows up three times, edit it out or add "avoid repeating descriptions" to the setup.
  • Too neat endings. Left alone, an AI tends to resolve everything. Choose an open, bittersweet or cliffhanger ending if you want something less tidy.

The generator also refuses some requests on purpose. Anything outside the content policy is blocked before it is written, and a blocked request does not use up a story.

Example results

An example written for this page with original characters, showing how a voice note in the setup carries into the story. Your stories will differ.

Setup: Captain Vell (dry, answers questions with questions) and cadet Pim (talks too fast when nervous) are stuck on a stalled space elevator. Funny, third person, happy ending.

"Are we falling?" Pim asked. "We're not falling. Are we falling? The light's blinking. Is the light supposed to blink?"

Vell did not look up from the control panel. "Is a light that never blinks any use to anyone?"

"That's not an answer."

"Isn't it?" She pried off the cover, found a loose connector and pressed it home. The elevator hummed back to life. "Would you like to keep talking, cadet, or would you like to hold the torch?"

Using AI as a writing partner

Many writers use generated stories as a first draft: something to react to, cut, and rewrite in their own words. Others use them to test an idea before committing a weekend to it, or to get past a blank page. All of that works well here. Free stories stay in your browser, and you can copy any story or download it as TXT or Markdown to keep editing elsewhere. Stories you create are yours to use, as long as you respect other people's rights in their characters and worlds.

AI fanfic generator FAQ

How does an AI fanfic generator keep a character in voice?

It follows the notes you give it. A line about how a character talks, what they want and what they would never do is repeated to the model with every request, so the voice in the result tracks those notes rather than guesses.

Does the AI know the canon of my fandom?

Not reliably. A language model may remember some details and invent others, so it can get names, ages or events wrong. Put the facts that matter into your setup and check the result before you share it.

Will it copy text from a published book or script?

No. The model is told to write original prose only and not to quote or retell published text. If you paste in a long passage from a published work, the request may be refused.

Is my story used to train AI models?

No. We do not use your setup or your stories to train AI models. The privacy page lists the services that process a request to write your story.

Why did the AI refuse my request?

Because it hit the content rules, which apply at both the PG-13 and T ratings. Requests for sexual content, real people, or harmful material are blocked before or after generation, and a blocked request does not use one of your generations.
