These terms are an agreement between you and Story Fan Maker ("we", "us") for the use of Story Fan Maker at https://storyfanmaker.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

Story Fan Maker is an AI story generator. You describe characters and a situation, choose options such as point of view, tone and length, and an AI language model writes a short text story for you. Stories are generated automatically, so they can contain mistakes, repeat themselves or miss what you asked for, and we do not promise a particular result. Read a story before you rely on it or share it.

Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use Story Fan Maker. If you are 13 to 17, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms for you and is responsible for any purchase. Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to make or approve a payment. If you are under 13, please do not use the site.

Your stories

As between you and us, you own the setup you write and the story generated for you, and we claim no ownership of either. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you, for example to generate the story, and check it against the content rules. Because stories are generated by a model, someone else may receive a similar story from a similar setup, and you may not have exclusive rights to it.

Fan fiction is built on characters and worlds created by other people. Nothing on this site gives you any rights in those characters, names or worlds; they remain the property of their owners. You are responsible for how you use and share what you create.

Respecting other people's rights

You must not use the service to infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights. Do not paste in or ask the model to reproduce text from published books, scripts, lyrics or other people's fan works, and do not present generated text as someone else's work or sell stories built on characters you do not own. If you believe a story made with this site infringes your rights, email support@storyfanmaker.com with the subject "Copyright complaint", and we will review it promptly.

Acceptable use and the content rating rules

Story Fan Maker is for PG-13 content by default, with an optional T (Teen) rating, and never NSFW content. The content policy and the acceptable use policy are part of these terms. In short, you may not use the service to make, or try to make:

Automated content moderation is enabled. Requests and stories are checked automatically. A violating request is blocked and is not charged. We may suspend or close an account, or block a device, that repeatedly or seriously breaks these rules. Report a story to support@storyfanmaker.com with the subject "Content report".

Free stories and prices

Anyone may generate 3 free stories a day, up to 1,500 words each, without an account. Free stories are kept only in your browser. We may change the free allowance in the future; the current amount is always shown on the pricing page.

One generation makes one story. A generation that fails, or a request blocked by the content rules, is returned to your balance. Purchased generations do not expire. They are not cash and cannot be transferred or resold. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. Every purchase is a one-time payment made through PayPal checkout. Story Fan Maker is the seller and is responsible for the purchase, refunds and support; PayPal handles the payment itself and we never see your full card or bank details. Prices are in USD. You need to sign in with Google before you pay, so the generations you buy are attached to your account.

Taxes and fees

Prices are shown in USD and are the total we charge for a purchase. We do not add a separate tax line at checkout. If a sales tax, VAT, GST or similar tax applies to your purchase where you live, it is included in that price or, where the law makes you responsible for it, it is yours to pay. If PayPal, your card issuer or your bank charges you a currency conversion fee, a foreign transaction fee or a similar fee, that fee is set by them, is not part of our price and is not refunded by us.

Cancellation

Story Fan Maker sells one-time credit packs and a one-time lifetime unlock only. There is no subscription, no recurring billing and nothing to cancel: you are charged once, when you buy. Generations already bought stay on your account as described in the refund policy.

Accounts

You sign in with your Google account, so you are responsible for keeping that Google account safe and for activity on your account here. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; see the privacy policy.

Availability and liability

We provide the service "as is" and may change, pause or stop features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute comes up, please write to us first at support@storyfanmaker.com; most problems can be solved that way. If we cannot resolve it together, the dispute will be decided by a court with jurisdiction in the People's Republic of China.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the version that applies. If you keep using the site after an update, you accept the new version. We will not change the price of a purchase you have already made.
